This re-election to a three year term beginning July of 1970, after completing a two year term in May of 1970, likely explains why there is no public recording of Jack formally resigning or rescinding that resignation after classes were complete in May.
While this doesn’t negate the deep struggles and frustrations Jack was experiences, or his verbally communicating to Clowney he was resigning, as for as the formal records reflect, it most likely happened in the normal course of his election and re-election to the faculty of WTS as Assistant Professor of Practical Theology.
